Starbright Sue, a 10 year old Weimaraner, has been eating a fresh food diet for almost a year. Before this diet change, she had constant urinary leaking and a very arthritic elbow. Sue's arthritis was so crippling and painful she could hardly walk and was unable to go up or down the stairs. Since Sue has been on her new diet she has the energy she had when she was 5 years old. She loves her 3 mile walks, swimming, and chasing geese. Sue does her daily exercises by rolling on her back on any nice lawn, carpet, or other interesting surfaces. She had surgery on her arthritic elbow and receives regular acupuncture treatments and water therapy to help maintain mobility in her joint. Sue lost 3 molars so rather than chewing on bones, she gets bone dust, whole carrots, and loves to carry around and chew on raw tracheas. Due to her health issues, Sue is no longer vaccinated. In spite of our decision not to vaccinate Sue, we have been able to maintain her dog license with an exemption letter from her veterinarian. Starbright Sue is our very special angel and dear member of our family. She loves to ride in the car and always takes her place in the passenger seat.
