About

I have enjoyed the companionship of many wonderful dogs throughout my life and have been committed to optimizing the health and wellbeing of each one. In 1997, I learned about the health benefits of fresh food diets for dogs which launched a new journey toward health and wellness. With more than 20 years of nursing experience in critical care, this new diet made perfect sense. Molly and Rosie thrived on new meals of fresh meat, yogurt, and vegetables. Over the years I have modified and improved the diet I am currently feeding Penny and Lucy but the initial premise remains constant fresh foods support optimum health. In October of 2000, I had the opportunity to start Meg’s Meats and began helping others switch their beloved dogs and cats to fresh food diets. Healthier animals result in healthier happy people. After almost ten years of countless success stories I still love to hear pet guardians exclaim, “I feel like I have a new dog!” after a week or two on fresh foods. At Meg’s Meats we are committed to providing the highest quality products and supporting our clients as they make the switch from processed to fresh foods. We love to talk nutrition and we look forward to hearing from you!

Grace Waymire Owner, Meg’s Meats

Grace and Jin Shin Jyutsu I have been a nurse for over 30 years, specializing in the care of critically ill children and babies. In June of 2000 I was introduced to the art of Jin Shin Jyutsu. After a few years of regular Jin Shin Jyutsu sessions I began course work in January of 2003 and received my Jin Shin Jyutsu certification in September of 2005. The study of Jin Shin Jyutsu is life-long and I enroll in three to four classes yearly to further my understanding and application of this healing art. I developed and began teaching one and two day self-help and classes for animals and their people in the spring of 2009. Having worked in critical areas of the hospital for most of my nursing career I am constantly amazed and in awe of the power of Jin Shin Jyutsu. The profound relief people and animals experience from pain, insomnia and fatigue while restoring emotional and mental balance is phenomenal. I encourage my clients to practice simple self-help techniques daily to prolong the benefits of our sessions. Growing up in the Truckee area I have always had a strong connection to animals and nature. As a nurse, I am committed to providing information, which allows my clients to make educated choices to promote and optimize a healthy lifestyle. Over the years I have observed the parallels between the health of animals and their people. Jin Shin Jyutsu has a powerful impact on the health and wellbeing of people and their animals from birth to death. Sentient beings of all ages love this gentle energetic balancing art. My clientele include horses, dogs, cats, and their people.
