Travels with Lucy- Our Trip to Carmel

Lucy and I are spending a few days in Carmel and just loving it! It is one of those rare times we are not in the camper so staying at a hotel. This trip we are staying in Carmel at the Hideaway. This place is a real gem, within walking distance to the beach, great breakfast in the morning, wine and cheese are available in the afternoon, the rooms comfortable, and the price was right. Even though the hotel does not have official parking this has not turned out to be a problem, even with my big truck.

Raw Milk

We have been conditioned to be suspicious and fearful of consuming raw milk products preferring our milk to be pasteurized and homogenized. The thought of using raw milk as medicine to help heal our animal companions is beyond the scope of what many of us would ever consider. Pasteurization was not implemented until well after the start of the industrial revolution.

Raw Green Tripe

Often when we think of raw green tripe the first thing that comes to mind is the smell. However if one stops to consider all the health benefits for our dogs and cats then the smell becomes secondary. As I explore the relationship between the gut and the health and longevity our animals I decided it was time to learn more about raw green tripe.
